What does it mean that my tub/sink/toilet is gurgling?
Whenever you hear gurgling from a drain it means that water is stuck in the pipe. Stuck water means a clog of some kind, even if it drains out slowly, your drains should always be open. If it isn't backing up now and only gurgling, it is time to get the drain cleaned to prevent a mess in your home.

All of our rates are a flat rate. If a problem persist beyond that point a technician will determine the best route to stabilize the problem and provide the best solution for you!
Why do drains clog?
There are many factors that lead to clogged drains or bad smells. The most common are:
-Tree roots grow into main sewer pipes going out to the septic system or city connection on older homes. While it's nobody's fault that plants damage your sewer system, it none-the-less requires maintenance or replacement to eliminate.
-Mineral build up is most often an issue with well systems, however with a little mindfulness you can eliminate many of the issues that cause slow drains and sinks!
-Organic build up refers to any soap, detergent, body oil, shampoo, or food waste that gets down the drain. There is always a small about of build up, which is normal, however when unchecked can give you a host of issues.
-Hair from tubs, showers, or even bathroom sinks can get caught in organic build up or rusted pipes, most often resulting in a slow drainage. When strainers aren't enough, it may need a routine cleaning.
Can I do it myself?
An ounce of cure is more than a pound of cure! We use mechanical means of drain maintenance as it is best for your system, and you can take small steps the same way we do at home. Remember to stay away from pipe-eating acids and try a plunger first! Drain frog is always happy to give helpful DIY advice to keep your system running clear.
